PrecisCx Director of Commissioning Harry B. Koons, III, LEED AP, CxA, recently hosted a webinar as part of the popular Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) Fall Webinar Series. On Monday, October 3, 2022, Koons presented, “Post Covid Recovery.” The session shared best practices and ways to help confirm a building reopening after Covid is as safe as possible for occupants.

When businesses that were shut down or provided for a modified in-person work schedule attempted to recover, they made changes to building operations, equipment performance, or maintenance to try to bring the workplace back to normal operations. While some changes have been positive, there have also been negative impacts concerning occupant health, energy consumption, and overall building operation. The webinar addressed how commissioning providers can assist owners in bringing back heathy buildings by helping to identify new energy goals, identify risks, and support the return to normal.
