PrecisCx Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) Engineer Robert Tarlo, Jr. has been awarded a Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) professional scholarship for continuing education.
“It is truly an honor to be selected for this scholarship,” said Tarlo. “I plan to use the funds to grow my knowledge of new building commissioning, existing building commissioning, and building enclosure commissioning to ensure safe and functional working environments.”
Candidates are selected based on professional achievements, work experience, and demonstrated knowledge of the commissioning industry.
In her letter of recommendation, PrecisCx President Kari Anne Donovan, PE, CxA, said, “Robert is both technically strong and comfortable in the field, allowing him to lead the execution of the commissioning process as outlined in the Commissioning Project Plan.” In his letter of recommendation, LendLease Senior Project Manager, Life Science, and PrecisCx client Hugo J. Fernandez said Tarlo’s “efforts dramatically increase the quality of the lab renovation project and assure that the renovated lab received proper LEED accreditation.”
The BCxA Scholarship Foundation helps advance the education of those who are pursuing or plan to pursue a career in building commissioning. Each year, scholarships are given to student and professional candidates. Professional candidates are selected based on professional achievements, work experience, and demonstrated knowledge of the commissioning industry. Tarlo anticipates using his scholarship toward continuing education at a future BCxA workshop.
BCxA is an international nonprofit organization with more than 1,200 members from the commercial building industry who are committed to the highest standards and practices for commissioning. For more information, visit https://www.bcxa.org.
